Our mission is to reduce human exposure to dangerous environments

Drover Labs develops autonomous hybrid-mobility robots designed for confined, GPS-denied environments. Our platform enables in-depth inspection of critical assets across oil & gas, hydroelectric, and manufacturing sectors. This will enable safer, more efficient operations and prevent catastrophic failures.

If that resonates with you, let's connect.

Where it started

Our first iteration of Drover focused on hybrid mobility, transforming between flying and driving. After a deeper dive into real industry pain points, we evolved the platform into the Drover we are building today.

The Team

Drover Labs was started by a group of friends who met while working at NASA.
Now, we're building robots to take on the dangerous jobs, so people don't have to.

Gary Holmgren - CEO

Gary is a robotics engineer with experience developing autonomous systems for constructing infrastructure on the Moon and automated digital-twin imaging systems used in rocket launch inspection reviews at NASA.

Taylor Waddell - COO

Taylor is a PhD candidate at UC Berkeley where he leads the SpaceCAL team. He brings strong systems engineering expertise, specializing in hardware–software integration and embedded systems while at NASA.

Victoria Ortega - CTO

Victoria is a robotics engineer with 4 years of experience working on a NASA lunar excavation rover. She led design and testing campaigns, including being the lead engineer for two suborbital payloads.
